My 15 year old, who has gained about 20 lbs between her 14th and 15th birthday, is trying Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) because it has helped her dad remove himself from the obese category. She has run cross country and spring track for about 3 years but feels her weight is hindering her. She has often been a middle of the group finisher. Her coach is paleo friendly, but when he heard she is trying LCHF, he made a comment that we need to make sure she does not become magnesium deficient. We can monitor her intake of magnesium using an app. Do magnesium needs increase for athletes? Any LCHF runners out there have any input?

Hey - does anyone have any experience with HRV (heart rate variability) testing? I've been reading a lot about it and was curious if anyone has any direct experience using this technology as a training gauge?
I used to religiously take BCAAs pre and post for my fasted morning workouts. Now, I'm not sure if/when I should take them at all. Any thoughts?
Anyone have any experience? Considering as a supplement to enhance running and cycling performance. Heard good things about KetoCaNa but have not yet taken the plunge.
Has anyone tried Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF)? I tried it for the first time last week to try and alleviate soreness following a long ride. I have one word - Amazing! After 8 minutes of therapy all soreness was completely gone! Anyone else have any experience with PEMF therapy??
Anybody using and finding sucess and/or great resources out there on how to carb cycle for faster shredding and muscle building?
Looking for the best during-workout snack for longer workouts (4 hours plus) to keep me in ketosis??
